Project Contributions
Contributions included assisting the Principal and Project Manager from late Schematic Design through early Construction Documents with the following:
- Researched Massachusetts’ updated energy code to identify impacts of the new code on the project
- Documented the Exterior Envelope and Life Safety Elements during Design Development
- Researched glazing types and exterior finish products and compiled a Basis of Design spreadsheet
- Coordinated Project Scope, Drawings, and Specifications with all Consultants excluding the Interior Designer
- Managed the BIM model during the Construction Documents phase and received and shared models with Consultants
- Assisted the regulatory approval process by confirming requirements with the Building Department and compiling the contract documents
- Moved program between floors at the client’s request while ensuring requirements for floor area, book collection quantities, and spatial adjacencies are maintained
- Prepared presentation drawings and exterior details as part of the project’s competitive pursuit of state historic preservation funds
- Conducted a Shadow Study to evaluate design options for a roof monitor
- Developed eight of the marketing drawings below
